Book Description
This book has been cast in the form of lectures on the remedies in a pleasantly personal fashion, creating an image of the remedy in the minds of the reader. A brief analytical account of pathogenesis, sources and also, where possible, the manner in which the symptoms were obtained has been given about each remedy.
A unique and interesting paper of the Hahnemann's dosage from 1796 to his death has been added to dispel the extravagent notion prevalent about Hahnemann's potencies.
Richard Hughes (1836-1902): Born in London, England was an orthodox physician [M.R.C.S. (Eng.); L.R.C.P. (Edin.) M.D from American College] and converted to homoeopathy. He was a great writer and a scholar. He practiced homoeopathy at Brighton Homoeopathic Dispensary. In 1876, Dr Hughes was appointed as Permanent Secretary of the Organization of the International Congress of Homeopathic Physicians in Philadelphia and in 1889, was appointed as an Editor of British Homeopathic Journal.
Dr Hughes was actively involved with Dr T.F Allen in compilation of Encyclopedia, and with Dr Dudgeon in translating Hahnemann's Materia Medica Pura into English.
