Book Description

Preface
Sri Shirdi Sai Baba (1838-1918), the great incarnation of Lord Dattatreya - the Trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh (Shiva) is now known and worshipped with great faith and enthusiasm by millions of peoples of all religions throughout the world. While His divine message of the sameness of all souls, shraddha (faith) and saburi (patience) and universal love, unity, spiritual humanism and global awakening are now widely known, his origin, family, childhood and period of training in spirituality under His Guru and His wanderings in early youth before coming to settle down at Shirdi in 1858 have been shrouded in mystery. Baba did not reveal much about these aspects of his life. Although He was actually born in a Brahmin family of Pathri village in Maharastra, he dressed and behaved like a Muslim Fakir and tried to integrate the hearts of Hindus and Muslims and all other communities by his divine teachings and miracles.
