Sri Narayana Guru - Brahmamokkate Series

The Ancient Indian heritage and culture is galore with the great souls who emerged from different ages, castes and regions. Despite the adverse circumstances they dwelt in, they pulled on well facing the hardships. They were intent upon the embellishment of the stature of their fellow beings. Their missionary zeal for humanitarian service was responsible for social awareness among the people besides the greater goal of spiritual development. For this purpose they have published a series of books under the title "Brahmamokkate" which means 'the Lord is one though He is named differently', paving the way for world peace through the belief of only one Diety the Brahma who is all pervading. The renowned authors have made an authentic portrayal of the life- stories of biographies of the spiritual sages.

Jalli Sri Raghupathi Rao has written a book in Telugu entitled "Sri Narayana Guru" and it has been translated into English by Prof. C.L.L.Jayaprada under the same title "Sri Narayana Guru". We look forward to realizing our cherished wish by making the copies available to children, the youth and the aged for intensive reading in order to sprout themselves as dynamic spiritual souls dedicating themselves to the cause of service to humanity.

The basis for social construction is the culture of a nation. The major parts of a culture are conventions, spirituality, religion, ways of living and arts like literature. Spirituality belongs to inner realms, Religion is based on faith. Worship is a part of that.

The word 'culture' itself implies something that can be refined. If it is not refined continually, society loses its freedom and it gets narrow and troubled. As a consequence it starts declining internally. Narayana Guru tried to rectify such a situation in Kerala in the nineteenth century. Starting with religious reform, he achieved social reforms and economic progress. He ceaselessly strived hard to obtain social equality, literacy, cradication of untouchability, defence of self-respect, spiritual nobility and a calm mental state.

Services of Narayana Guru have been praised throughout the country. The temples, religious institutes, schools and industrial centers founded by Swamy are still working. They are a living proof of Swamy's ethical, economic and social practices of duty and integrity. Father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi and world poet Rabindranath Tagore, visited Guruseva Center at Varkala and met Guru Swamy. Many celebrities in India praised his services. There is no exaggeration in saying that he is the ideal leader for all the Indians.
