Book Description
Shivani has learnt vocal Indian classical music from Tulika Ghosh, daughter of Padmabhushan Pandit Nikhil Ghosh.
Shivani resides at Jaipur, Rajasthan.
The very first impression that I got of Shivani was that of a shy, quiet girl doing her job. But as we talked and proceeded with the interview, she came across as a totally different person - a courageous girl with tremendous determination and a person from a very cultured family. For her, these interviews were not just a job, but a genuine love and devotion towards music and musicians. Here, I would like to mention that she herself has taken training in vocal classical music from Tulika Ghosh.
I had the chance to go through some of her manuscripts. Here, I would like to mention one interview with Pandit Firoz Dastur, where he has mentioned about his association with J.B.H. Wadia (a doyen of Indian cinema) a great producer, and the movie ‘Lal-e-Yaman'after which he became a star and also about the song, ‘javo sidharo’ which gave him overnight success. I have seen all this and was very much impressed.
