About the Author

Dr. S.K.Kapoor is well known authority upon the ancient Discipline of Vedic Mathematics. He has been devoted for the cause of revival of the ancient discipline. He has been awarded Guru Gangeshwarananda Veda Ratna Puraskar 1997 by Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan for his excellence and research in the field of Vedic Sciences and Mathematics.

From the conceptual format of Doctoral thesis of Dr. Kapoor titled 'Mathematical basis of Vedic Literature' to his first book "Vedic Geometry, to the whole range of books (Fermat's last theorem and higher spaces reality course, Foundations of Higher Vedic Mathematics, Goldbach Theorem, Glimpses of Higher Vedic Mathematics, Learn and Teach Vedic Mathematics, Vedic Mathematics Decodes, Space Book, Practice Vedic Mathematics Skills) and now the present set of five books (The Teaching of Vedic Mathematics, Learning Vedic Mathematics on First Principles, Vedic Mathematics Basics, Vedic Mathematics Skills and Vedic Geometry Course) is a big range which promises layout for re-construction of Vedic mathematics of its ancient wisdom glory.

Preface

Urge to know ancient wisdom expressed as Vedic knowledge inherently imples acceptance for chase of it the way these systems permit. This as such would mean that the sadkhas for the chase of Vedic systems have to proceed along the established paths of Sankhiya Nishshta and Yoga nishta which not only run parallel to each but are also complementary and supplementary of each other.

The sankhiya nishtha, on its ultimate analysis amounts to availing the artifices of numbers, for coordination arrangement of organisation format, while on the other hand, the Yoga nishta avails the dimensional formats, for regulation of transcendence and ascendance of mind through the manifested creations. The TRANS, also means, the number ahead, and it is this way, the transcending mind ultimately avails the artifices of numbers to sequentially glimpse the ultimate core of the transcendental worlds.

Introduction

1.Sankhiya' (numbers, artifices of numbers; knowledge path) and 'Yoga' (unison, unison through transcendence of geometric formats: actions path) are two established paths ('Nishtha') of ancient wisdom (Gita 3.3).

2. Both, Sankhiya and Yoga, run parallel to each other and attain the same end fruit. Both these paths are to be glimpsed as complementary and supplementary of each other. And of those who so glimpse are really glimpsing (Gita 5.4 & 5.5).

3. Both, Sankhiya and Yoga nishtha, values lead to glimpsing of 'atman' / soul display domain during 'dhyan' (meditation) (Gita 13.24).

4. As such the basic values of truth coming within comprehension of mind are to be as the glimpsing domain of transcending mind which with its transcendence of artifices of numbers and geometric formats shall be leading to the end fruit of ambrosia of display expression domain of atman / soul.
