The book-Empowerment of Women in India: Views of M.K. Gandhi and J.L. Nehru, contains the ideas and philosophy of these two great leaders about women. How Gandhi encouraged women to participate in national freedom movement is also discussed.

However, Gandhi's thinking that women should not disturb the family life and be obedient daughters/wives is quite conservative. Similarly, Nehru views about women are also discussed in detail. Some major suggestions have been given to empower women in a more effective way. I hope the readers as well as policy makers will be benefited after going through the book.
