Ayurveda is an ancient science of Indian origin. It was the long research of our Rishis which took place in the sape of Ayurveda.
The School of Physicians (Atreya) and the School of Surgeons (Dhanvantari) epitomized the eight main areas of ayurvedic studies and specialization during ancient times. The details of these eight branches of this natural alternative medicine are present in the three ancient ayurvedic texts of: Charaka Samhita, Susruta Samhita and Astanga Hridaya.
Besides Charak and Sushrut Samhita, Bhaishajya Bhaskar, Vanoshadhi Chandrodya etc. are some of our ancient and accepted Ayurvedic Text Books.
In this book I have given a short history and philosophy of Ayurveda alongwith doshas and theory and elements. There is a big role of food in Ayurveda, which I have discussed separately alongwith Panchkarma and role of spices.
Five element theory and vatta, pitta, kapha characteristics are discussed well. There is a separate chapter on Rasayan Chikitsa, which play an important role in Ayurveda.
Disorders from mind and head to toe too are discussed chapter wise. Thus, this is a Family Ayurvedic Guide. So why it is named "Ayurveda for All".
