Book Description
Vastushastra is an amazing contribution of Indian wisdom that is useful for people. The entire world will be indebted to India for this knowledge. Vastu lovers and Vastu scholars from all over the world are gradually accepting this fact. The essential needs of human beings such as 'habitation' have been kept in view and the rules of scripture have been formulated by keeping happiness, health and prosperity at the center and other 85 kinds of needs and interests are imagined as the gods.
Vastu, which has been highlighted in the form of architectural Up-veda in many scriptures, including Puranas and Up-puranas, comes to the fore as highly evolved from the Vedic period itself, this knowledge has been formulated with a lot of testing and practice, which can also be inferred from the relics found in ancient civilizations such as Egypt, Mesopotamia, including Sindhu. As It is formulated in the oldest language of the world, it is clear that it is very archaic and highly specialized, worthy of being passed from one generation to another.
This scientific knowledge has been defined by Vasayan as art, Prithvidharacharya as science, Hemadri as conduct, Lakshmidhar as practice, Mallapuranakara as life-use art, and Milind Panho as official work. The importance of this knowledge and discourse conspectus are present in Skanda Purana, Matsya Purana, Varaha Purana, Agin Purana including Narada Purana. So Vishnudharmottara Purana seems to be a special exponent of this knowledge.
I have discovered more than a hundred Vastu- scriptures, edited and translated; I realized that if Vastu had been a simple discipline then why more than hundred books were written about it. Numerous constructions across the country such as homes, temples and water bodies suggest that this practical learning has existed from Shruti (oral knowledge) to written form. For thousands of years, millions of craftsmen and practitioners have practiced this discipline and practically constructed millions - certainly this knowledge has been used for the masses and has been very carefully used. Raja Bhoja has said that if someone does not know this knowledge and practices it, then he is capable of being considered a demon and he can take the life of the people. The king should ban him. (Samrangan Sutradhar)
I am happy that the scripture in which I thought worthy of practice and cherished the dream of being read and taught, is now being taught in many universities. It is being translated in countries such as Germany, Russia etc., and is being practiced. According to the Vastu curriculum of the Kavi Kulguru Kalidas Sanskrit Vidyapeeth, Dr. Jaanhvi Sachin Mahadik, Dr. Naren Umrikar and Dr. Vaibhav Deshmukh have prepared a useful collection and has given me the opportunity to go through the book and give my consent. In three parts of this book, they have tried to make this book highly useful by including the brief summary of important concepts of Vastushastra. On the subject of Muhurta, almost all the Muhurta and in traditional Vastu, all the common information has been collected with reference tables, cycles and pictures. I am impressed by the subject matter of this book and I congratulate and convey my best wishes - Imayasadhika: Morthadaha.
