Victory to thee, O Hanuman, thou hath unfathomable knowledge and immeasurable virtue; O lord of monkey, with thy name shine all the three worlds; O emissary of Rama, unparalleled is thy might and Anjani's son and the son of wind-god art thy name. Hanuman who abounds in him immense knowledge, unlimited virtue, incomparable might, wind's pace and earth's firmness is, however, primarily worshipped and known for redeeming from a crisis - ko nahin janat hai jag mein kapi Sankat Mochan nama timharo, or 'who does not know in the world, redeemer in crisis is thy name.' And the claim made here in is least an exaggeration. He is not only the widest known god but in the entire Hindu pantheon he is the most widely worshipped divinity whose temples in the entire Hindu world outnumber even the temples of Rama, Hanuman is whose emissary.
