Sage Vyasa the author of the Mahabharata has himself said 1:0 'Yannehästi na kutracit', 'what is not herein', is nowhere else'. Cer-tainly the Mahabharata is an encyclopaedia of India, that is Bharata, and of all that it stands for. But in it almost the entire wisdom except the Bhagavadgītā lies concealed and unnoticed by many.
Born on 1-1-1934 in a Maithila Brahmana family with a rural and agri cultural background, Sri Bhawesh Nath Pathak graduated in 1954 from the Patna College (Pol. Sc. Hons.) and ob tained post graduate degree in 1956 from P.U. (Hist.)
With brief journalistic stints and stray writing spells he studied as tronomy and cosmology and practised star-gazing.
Joined govt. service in 1958. After a few months in Education Dept. Bihar and then a Transmission Executive in AIR Patna, he joined Jail Dept. Bihar as Probation Officer and retired from ser vice on 31-12-91 as Principal Probation Officer.
