It gives in detail the schedules that need to be adopted to keep up the body health at all times and under all conditions. These schedules are based on Ayurveda, which is more than 5,000 years old and holds good to this day. It is the mind and body therapy that works at the quantum level and helps flourish the body's natural healing to relieve physical and mental diseases and avoid premature ageing. To reach the final goal of perfect health, the book gives simple and useful suggestions, and elaborates on Ayurvedic food, exercises and balancing of the daily routine for maintaining good health. It also provides vital information on meditation, sound therapy, music therapy and gandharava therapy that are necessary for keeping the mind in balance.
About the Author:
Prof. T. L. Devaraj, a post-graduate degreeholder in Ayurveda from Banaras Hindu University, served as a lecturer, assistant professor and professor of Ayurveda. At present he is working as Professor and Head of the Department of Post-graduate Studies (M.D.) in Shalya Tantra at G.C.I.M., Bangalore. He is a member of the Board of Studies in Ayurveda for Bangalore and Mysore universities. Besides being an academician, he is a practising physician and examiner for different subjects of Ayurveda in several universities in India.
He has to his credit 21 books on Ayurveda, out of which three have been recognized by the Central Council of Indian Medicine for degree courses. This book, Ayurveda for Perfect Health, is his 22nd book in which he has explained the basic concepts of Ayurveda and its golden rule of healthy body and mind to promote perfect health. He has been awarded an international award and honoured for his outstanding contribution to Ayurveda by His Holiness Jagadguru Shankaracharya of Sharda Peetam. The Title Ayurveda Bhaskara was awarded to him by Shri B. D. Jatti, the former Vice-President.
