Born on 15 July, 1927, Srinivasa Rao lived in Andhra Pradesh, India. After a successful career in academics, he retired and dedicated the rest of his life to the study, practice, and teaching of Advaita Vedanta. He did not court publicity or seek large followings. Hence his teachings remained confined to a small circle of devoted seekers, who regularly gathered around him to listen and absorb his profound wisdom. Srinivasa Rao wrote several books and gave many talks on Advaita in his native Telugu language. He passed away peacefully on 19 Dec, 2015. You can read more about Srinivasa Rao and his works at
