About the Book This book provides a picture of the Telugu cinema, as both industry and cultural form, over fifty formative years. It argues that films are directly related both to the prominence of elite which dominates Andhra Pradesh and other parts of India, and to the emergence of a new idiom of mass politics.

He is the author of Megastar (2009) and co-editor of a two-volume collection of essays titled The Indian Media Economy 2018.
