Book Description
Dr. Mayell wrote this book giving reasons and facts to prove that Punjabi Language is 5,500 years old. The basic reasons are that written evidence was obtained from the excavation in Punjab. Even today the basic language is Punjabi in Punjab while all other languages were imported from other countries. It took 3 years to write this book.
Previously Dr. Mayell wrote a book "UNIVERSALITY OF THE SIKH RELIGION"in 2006. The book was sold in many countries and was very well received by the Sikhs and also by non-Sikhs as well.
Jaspal was a founding member of the Sikh Cultural Society in New York in 1963 that later started the first Sikh Gurdwara in the north east of USA situated in Richmond Hills, Queens New York. Dr. Mayell is involved, with the Relief Committee of Greater New York and Nishkam Sikh Welfare Council in India for the humanitarian work, since 1984. That involves helping the widows, orphans and awarding scholarships to the needy students.
Dr. Mayell became a citizen of the United States in 1968. He is now living with his family in Stamford, Connecticut, USA. He retired at the age of 70 in 1999. Jaspal writes from the heart to people both young and old and stresses upon the importance of the logic and reasoning in solving day to day problems.
