Book Description
Making magic with unusual combinations of words and striking images, Lekshmy Rajeev's poetry takes the reader to startling levels of perception. She dazzles in and out of a variety of themes and moods revealing an astonishing range. Moving from deep pathos of bereavement, to profound philosophical insights, to love in its many forms and tones, to desire, yearning, disillusionment, to light-hearted humour, irony, satire and stark realism, her poems chart the course of a mind that looks within and out at the world through fairy eyes. Mercilessly honest, these poems haunt the reader long after they are read and put away. Lekshmy's is a clear, fresh voice in the world of poetry in English.
