Book Description

Foreword

From ancient times, India's Yoga philosophy's scholars, rishis and saints have been achieving immortality, living a simple common life and establishing yoga i.e., harmonization with the god almighty by developing their physical, mental and spiritual powers through developing and balancing the seven chakras located in the body through the practices of Yam, Niyam, Aasan, Pranayaam, Pratyaahar, Dhama, Dhyaan and Samaadhi. Their Kundalini chakra got activated! Their Muladhar, Swadhisthan, Manipur, Anahat, Vishudha, Agya and Sahasrar chakras were fully developed. Their body plexuses, viz., Perineal plexus, Hypogastric plexus, Solar plexus, Cardiac plexus, Carotid plexus, Medulla plexus, and Brain plexus got balanced resulting in their achieving wonderful physical, mental and spiritual powers which they utilized in doing selfless service to the society. Muladhar chakra provided them with unbelievable speaking powers, Swadhisthan chakra provided capability and attraction. Manipur chakra provided ability to receive knowledge from external sources while Anahat chakra enabled them to come out of their physical body and carry out external & extra terrestrial travel at will. A developed Vishudha chakra provided them a store of power as also to assume different body shape & size. Agya chakra, when developed, enabled them to see unity in diversity and to see the God almighty, face to face! A developed Sahasrar chakra enabled them to travel freely in universe including the five elements, viz., Wind, Fire, Water, Earth & Space. Such was the power of Yoga practiced by the ancient Indian seers.

Sri J.P. Agarwal, the author of this book and Director Acupressure Research, Training and Treatment Institution, Allahabad has given a detailed description of various Chakras and their effects on the body as also the acupressure treatment points related to the chakras; he also explains the treatment procedures so that physical and emotional cure of diseases can be obtained.

I consider this book to be a research treatise since in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture (TCA) the treatment is given on energy meridians whereas in this book are explained the treatment practice on energy meeting points (chakras) which are Qi vessels. Chakra treatment is more effective compared to the meridian treatment. How to know which chakra in the body has been affected? Which effected chakra causes what symptoms and what disease(s)? How to treat the effected chakra(s) by acupressure/acupuncture treatment? For the first time all these and much more have been explained in this book. The experience and knowledge gained after treating thousands of patients through chakra methodology has been compiled in this book for the benefit of those engaged in the noble task of treatment of suffering humanity. This treatise is the result of the author's research on chakra treatment.

I am sure this book will be a milestone in the history of acupressure/acupuncture literature and provide a way to alleviate physical, mental and spiritual suffering of the masses. In the end I would like to say to the author, Sri J.P. Agarwal:

Howsoever difficult the road may be

Howsoever tortuous the path may be

Howsoever distant the destination may be

Tiredness so much that walking maybe difficult

Courage, self confidence, if you have

Then remember your God

Keep moving, keep moving

Now your destination is not far

Your destination is not far.

Charaivti, Charaiveti.
