Book Description
Nilmani Phookan has a distinctive voice of his own rooted in humanism. His poetry is a conscious arrangement and composition of perceptions trimmed to the core. Krishna Dulal Barua is a teacher of English language by profession. He is also an honorary music teacher. He had his schooling at St. Anthony's High School in Shillong, Meghalaya where he also had his early lessons in music. He graduated from Cotton College Guwahati, Assam and completed his post-graduation in English literature from Dibrugarh University, Assam. He has translated extensively from Assamese to English. His published work include a book on music titled Sangeetar Byawaharik Sutra aru Guitar. 'Rhythm of Spring' is an audio album of instrumental music composed and rendered by him on the guitar which has been approved for broadcast by the All India Radio, Guwahati, Assam. He is the recipient of the Katha Award for Translation, 2005.
