Book Description
Balavān ādaro yasya na syād guru-pādāmbuje / śrutair apy asya sac chāstraih krsne bhaktir na jāyate || Devotion to Krsna does not arise by hearing authorized scripture for the person who does not have strong reverence for the lotus feet of guru.
tasmād guruṁ prapadyeta jijñāsuḥ śreya uttamam | śābde pare ca nişnātaṁ brahmany upaśamāśrayam ||
Therefore, one who is inquisitive about the highest truth should surrender to a guru who is skilful in the scriptures and fixed in realization, while free of anger and greed.
ācāryam māṁ vijānīyān nāvanmanyeta karhicit | na martya-buddhyāsūyeta sarva-deva-mayo guruh ||
One should know the ācārya as myself and never disrespect him in any way. One should not envy him, thinking him an ordinary man, for he is the representative of all the devatās.
What more can be said? There is no tattva superior to that of guru.
"Śrīnivāsācārya was a great Vaisnava guru who lived in 15th century. He was invited to come in this world personally by Lord Caitanya.”
Sriniväsäcärya was a famous Vaisnava guru who lived in 15 century, He was the disciple of Srila Gopala Bhatta Gosvāmi and was trained in the philosophy of Gaudiya Vaisnavism under Srïla Jiva Gosvämi. It is believed that Śrī Caitanya carried out his works of spreading the message of Vaishnavism through Sri Srinivas Acārya. He was invited to come in this world personally by Lord Caitanya.
There were two expansions of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu: The first expansion are the six Gosvämīs, who He entrusted to discover Vrndavana, to establish the holy worship of the Lord's deity and to give the bhakti-grantha, the Holy scriptures to protect the bhakti path.
The secondary expansion of His mission came through Srinivas Acārya, Narottam dāsa Thakur and Syāmānanda prabhu, who were particularly responsible for preaching the message of Sri Caitanya Mahāprabhu throughout India. They formed the great spiritual sankirtan party. Srinivas Acārya was in the forefront of the Vaisnava movement and was responsible for the propagation of Krsna Bhakti marg across the plains of India,
He wrote an excellent commentary on the catursloki (lour original slokas of the Srimad Bhagavatam) which is widely read to this day. He is famous for this Sad-Gosväiny-astakam which elaborates the mood and sadhana of the Sad Gosvamis.
