About The Book
This work is an advancement in the knowledge of the Bundela History and an attempt to fills a gap in the regional history by bringing out the contemporary sources to the knowledge of those who are involved in the research. These sources gives infor-mation from the regional point of view, which generally is not in the knowledge of the researchers due to lack of regional sources of information.

This volume is deals with the "PANNA RECORDS (1688-1740)" contains the letters exchanged between the members of the family of Chhatrasal Bundela, his officers and the Peshwa Bajirao. This record is such an important one that confirmed the information contained in the archival records in the Jaipur State Archives namely the Akbarat-i-Mualla, Waqia Papers, Hindi and Persian letters etc.

The Parma Records (1688-1740) are valu-able both for Socio-Economic and Political History of the period and region. The letters gives authentic and important information about the relations of Chhatrasal with the later Mughals, his Administration and Policy towards the other Bundela State.

About The Author
Dr. Bhagwan Das Gupta (Bundelkhand University) holds Ph.D. and D.Liit degrees from the University of Lucknow. He was having specialisation in Medieval and Modem Indian History and was considered an expert on the History of Bundelkhand and Central India. Dr. Gupta was the Sectional President (Medieval India) of the Indian History Congress, 1983. Burdwan Session and was associated with number of research organisations of National/ International repute, such as Nathangar Sodh Sansthan, Sitaman; U.P. State Archi-ves; National Archives of India, New Delhi; Bhartiya Itihas Shanshodhak Mandal, Pune; Jiwaji Shodh Sansthan, Jiwaji University. Gwalior; Indian Council of Historical Research, New Delhi. Dr. Bhagwan Das Gupta has a number of research papers and articles to his credit and is the author of "Bundelkhand Keshori Maharaja Chhatrasal Bundela (Hindi), Life and Times of Chhatrasal Bundela (English), Mastani-Bajirao Aur Unke Vanshaj Banda ke Nawab (Hindi), "History of the Rise and Fall of the Marathas in Bundelkhand", Rani Laxmi Bai (Hindi), A Socio-Economic and Cultural History of Bundel-khand under the Mughals (1531-1731).
