About the Book It is a moment of joy to put before the learned readers the present book entitled Contribution of Nalanda to World Culture. The book contains thirty three articles of erudite scholars who participated in the National seminar which was organised by Nava Nalanda Mahavihara, Nalanda in collaboration with Institute for Socialist Education, New Delhi. The seminar was held at the premises of Institute for Socialist Education, New Delhi. The inaugural function of the seminar took place on January 9, 2005 at Vitthalabhai Patel House, New Delhi. The Present book contains eighteen articles in English and fifteen articles in Hindi. The papers contain articles highlighting the cultural, religious, philosophical, literary, archaeological contribution of Ancient Nalanda University to the world.
About the Author Dr. Ravindra Panth is presently working as Director, Nava Nalanda Mahavihara, Nalanda Deemed University. He is a scholar of Pali and Buddhist Studies and has edited several Pali texts and research volumes. He has presented and published several research papers in national and international seminars, conferences and journals. Dr. Panth had delivered lectures in India and abroad on various themes related with Buddhism, specially on Buddhist Psychology. He has authored some books on Buddhism.
