About the Author Dr Alka Mishra is a well-known scholar of history. She did her Ph.D. on 'Battles of the Sikh Gurus'. At present she is working on her magnum opus 'Historiography of Sikh History' under the guidance of renowned historian Dr Harjinder Singh Dilgeer. For two years, she had been working as Research Associate with the GN Institute (England). Now, she is working as Lecturer in history at Sahoram Swaroop Mahila Maha Vidyala, Bareilly. Her papers have been published in various research journals.
Foreword During the past 548 years, several non-Sikhs have contributed positively and negatively to the Sikh world and the history of the Sikhs. During my Ph.D. studies, I found that if some of them would not have played their role, the Sikh movement would have ended since long. But, these heroes have never received their due from the Sikhs or non-Sikh historians.
