Preface

Many psychological truths are revealed in the pages of religious texts around the world. With Vedas, Puranas and the Upanishads and many other religious texts dating back to thousands of years, India is a rich storehouse of information on the subject of religion. Since religious beliefs have been sensitive personal issue, people have always looked up to them with respect and fear, and rarely with the spirit of inquiry.

Not exposed to the older religious texts and beliefs, the people in the developed countries have only recently begun to notice the realities of a great spiritual power-the existence of souls, rebirth, transmigration and other spiritual phenomena-that could not be explained through the principles of rationality. As the facts are opening up, the logical mind is accepting them, sometimes with awe and often with reservations.

Had I not participated in a séance where souls provided information and experiences, I would also have had reservations because of lack of such experience. But having personally experienced what would seem miraculous, I feel that there is a vast reservoir of knowledge and support available which needs to be explored by the common man. Just as one can learn to drive a car without having to learn the intricacies of how a car is built or operates, one can learn to transform one's life without having to personally seek and verify the scientific truths hidden in the religious texts.

The conversations in this book are an effort in this direction. They take a person step by step from everyday life to a higher life through gradual transformation of the self. Every individual is unique and at a different stage of development. Therefore, every person will need to move at a pace that is in harmony with their personal psychic development. One thing is certain. As one moves through the trials and tribulations of life, there is light, greater happiness and bliss awaiting those who seek them.
