Dr. S.Girija With two Doctorates, one in Education and the other in Behavioral Science, Dr.S.Girija has a eight post graduate degrees. She also has Master's degree in Business Administration.

At the age of 19. Dr. Girija started teaching in a College. For the past 44 years she has worked in schools, colleges and also as Registrar of a University. She also work as a faculty member in the staff training college of a bank for 12 years.

A specialist in Human Resource Development. Dr. Girija has trained students. teachers, and corporate members. Her services, those of a Management Consultant, are being utilized by companies.

She is a teachers' teacher and has conducted a number of programmes in faculty development for schools and colleges.

She is a specialist in counseling and , Psychotherapy and has successfully helped a number of students, addicts and couples to help themselves.

Dr. S.Girija is a regular playwright for All India Radio. Four A her plays have been published by Messrs. New Century Book House and won the best drama award for the year 2013 from Tamilnadu Kalai Ilakiya Mandram - Five of her plays and another six of her plays have been publish. by Messrs.Palaniappa brothers.

She has written a travelogue on her Kailash Yatra. Her book 'Act like the Tortoise"' has been published not only in India but also in the US.
