About the Author
Akhil Mohan Patnaik (1927-82) started his career as advocate Bhubaneswar. His first story "Span" was published in 1948. His short story collections include Jhadar Eagle or Dharanirkrushnasar and Andha Gali. Apart from his stories he wrote biographies, criticism and belles-lettres. He was translator, amateur artist and was interested in theatre and played vital role in the revival of the Janata Theatre Movement.
