Jesus Malverde, the Narco Saint, is a legendary folk saint and hero originating in Sinaloa, Mexico. Born into poverty, he became renowned for stealing from the rich to give to the poor until he was captured and executed. As with any folk personality, accounts of his life and death vary. Whether or not he is a historical figure does not factor into his enormous popularity with the people, and with those who call upon him for aid. This text includes a brief history of the folk saint, as well as spells, charms, and amulets for working with the Angel of the Poor.
