Book Description

Preface

We have great pleasure to introduce our book KRIYA SHARIR PRATYAKSHIKA for Ist year B.A.M.S students. This book is written with a view to inculcate correct practical approach amongst the Ayurveda students right from the beginning. It is divided into two sections Ayurvediya Parikshana and Modern Physiology Practical.

This book is designed as per CCIM and MUHS syllabus, We hope that this book will be very helpful to the students in preparing for practical examination and facing them with confidence. One of the strengths of this book is that we have introduced ample pictures wherever necessary for a good pedagogy.

We are thankful to Dr. B. P. Pandey, (Advisor, Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Ayurved and Research Center, Pimpri, Pune) & Dr. Medha Kulkarni (Principal, Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Ayurved and Research Center, Pimpri, Pune) for the inspiration to write the book.

We do hope that students will find it really helpful while preparing for the practical and applying the concepts in a real sense.

Any suggestions, comments from the readers will be highly appreciated.

Foreward

I was honoured by the invitation of Dr. Smita S. Kadu and Dr. Sheetal U. Roman to provide a foreword for this Kriya Sharir Pratyakshika book. I am delighted to write this foreword, not only because both the authors are experts in Kriya Sharir but also because I believe deeply in the educative value of interpretive discussion for all students in simple manner is essential, especially in a field of Ayurved. I also believe that students at every level and stage of their career can enrich and strengthen their learning by discussion leading Ayurved and modern physiology practical presented in this book.

I think that the authors can be confident that there will be many enthusiastic readers who will gain a broader perspective of the disciplines of different Ayurved Parikshan's including Prakruti and Sarata and Laboratory investigations/practicals as a result of their efforts. I found them to be stunningly illuminating in terms of physical body examinations in Ayurvedic Perspective and Blood and urine tests as well.

Their accomplishment in putting this together in the book as per CCIM syllabus is really admirable .It is book that every B.A.M.S. undergraduate as well as Postgraduate students should value for practical aspects of Ayurved Sharir Kriya.I wish them success in their endeavour and happy to release this first edition.
