After the establishment of Delhi Sultanate in India, Malwa too had to face the onslaught of the Turk invaders and soon the Parmars were uprooted from Malwa by them. Consequently Malwa became a province of Delhi Sultanate. The Delhi Sultans held their sway over Malwa for about a century and touching every aspect of life in Malwa they gave a new shape to the administration of this area and influenced the social and cultural life of this region.
Prof. (Dr.) Jagdish Chandra Upadhyaya is an academician & historian. He was born on 25th November. 1940 at Rampura, M.P., a small city of Malwa region after completion of early childhood education at birth land his desire of further education reinforced him to move for Indore than Ujjain. He pursued M.A. in History and M.Ed. from Vikram University, Ujjain. Author has been awarded Ph.D. in 1976 from Devi Ahilya University, Indore for his questing attributes.
His vocational interest in history subject has provided an honour to serve as an academician with vast experience of around 45 years in various Government Colleges. During the professional journey he took the responsibility of Head of Department of History in GACC, Indore and Convener of M.phil. Studies in School of Liberal Studies, DAVV, Indore., Director Adult Education DAVV Indore.
