About the Book
In the Indian epic battlefield of Kuruks the a very significant position here that the mighty warrior Arjuna lost control over his nerves when he had to fight his own blood relations, mentors and illustrious teachers. Lord Krishna, the Supreme Godhead in the avatar of Arjuna's charioteer understood his despondency and advised him on what he should be doing.

This sermon by Lord Krishna, known as the Bhagvad Gita is held in the highest esteem by the Hindus but it would not be wrong to say that this message is for entire mankind. It may have been delivered in the setting of a battlefield but illumined minds have found it very relevant in present times as well.

Sayings from the Bhagvad Gita combines the beauty of the celestial message with the bewitching beauty of Mother Earth.

Preface
In the Indian epic Mahabharata, the battlefield of Kurukshetra holds a very significant position. It was here that the mighty warrior Arjuna lost control over his nerves and faced an ironic situation where he had to fight his own blood relations, mentors and illustrious teachers. Lord Krishna, the Supreme Godhead in the avatar of Arjuna's charioteer understood his despondency and advised him on what he should be doing. During the course of his dialogue Lord Krishna touched upon many subjects: The dialogue between Lord Krishna and Arjuna is known as the Bhagvad Gita.

This sermon by Lord Krishna is held in the highest esteem by the Hindus but it would not be wrong to say that this message is for entire mankind. It may have been delivered in the setting of a battlefield but illumined minds have found it very relevant in present times as well. P R Our everyday life is marked by despair, sorrows and disappointments at every stage. This message acts as a soothing balm.

The Bhagavad Gita, published in at least 2000 editions in over 70 languages, speaks volumes for its universality of thought and worldwide appeal. From its 18 chapters containing 640 shlokas, I have short-listed some which readily convey the essence of this great book. To celebrate its wisdom, I have conducted a humble experiment by combining the two.

the beauty of the celestial message with the witching beauty of Mother Earth. In my own little way, I found it very satisfying to combine.
