Standardisation of Single Drugs Of Unani Medicine (Part- II) (An Old and Rare Book)

The Central Council for Researh in Unani Medicine, a multifaceted research organisation with its mission to serve the cause of Unani Medicine has drawn up elaborate programmes for standardisation of single and compound drugs on scientific lines. The Council has already published three volumes on standards of compound Unani drugs each containing standards for 100 formulations.

The first volume on standards of 50 single drugs was published by the Council in 1987. Students, researchers of Unani Medicine and scientists in allied disciplines welcomed the publication. The present second volume which carries standards for another 50 single drugs, it is hoped, would also receive warm appreciation.

The strenous efforts of reserchers and scientists of the Council have yielded marvellous results. There is a remarkable progress in the field of drug standardisation.

We gratefully acknowledge the services rendered by former Director, Hakim Mohammed Abdur Razzack who had always taken keen interest in the development of the Council's research programmes. We are grateful to the members of the Council's Scientific Advisory Committee and Drug Research Sub-Committee for undertaking this work. Our thanks are also due to the scientists involved in this task for their contribution.
