Book Description
The protagonist, Shreya, an Assamese leads a cheery life at the beginning. Soon her friends in the neighbourhood get married and beget children. Jobless, dejected and away from her friends for more than half a dozen years, she at last gets married to a Bihari officer. But marriage turns up to disaster and she becomes a widow with a child. The Assamese-Bihari riots in Assam snatched away her husband and left her in darkness forever.
She has done her schooling from the local school, completed her graduation from Tinsukia, Assam and accomplished her Masters in English from Pune University. Her dream is to modify the social practices that still exist in a developing Indian society. She also focuses on the blind acceptance of western ideologies especially in the cities, through the channel of satire.
She has authored her debut, Made for Each Other, a socio romantic and satirical novel published in 2002. Other creations by the authoress are in pipeline. The Dry Petals, Horror of the Chilly Night, Let me not Die, A Garland of Pearls are her forthcoming works.
