Book Description
First died the Word. Then died God and then the world and then man. The Word was no longer holy as it once was. No longer was it the Truth and Being and the revelation of the Truth and Being. The revelation degenerated into interpretation, into referentiality without the referent. Telos become 'values', commitment convenience, truth consensus and man himself a tool of language, a tool of his tool.
God died because 'man' replaced him and man died because God deserted him.
This work seeks to revive the awareness of the Word, the awareness we lost without the awareness of the loss. 'A triumph of creative hermeneutical imagination', this 'bold and innovative' vision has many 'deep and searching' insights to offer, old as well as new. Insights which no sensitive soul would ever like to ignore or to forget.
