Book Description
The present volume i.e. Part III (A) is in continuation of the previous volumes of the Catalogue of Sanskrit and Prakrit Manuscripts preserved in the Rajasthan Oriental Research Institute brought out with the financial aid given by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, New Delhi. For the same, we express our deep gratitude to the Ministry.
Previous volumes have appeared in the "Rajasthan Puratan Granthmala", the publication series of the Institute, as no's. 71, 77, 81 and 82. This volume is no. 85
This volume covers descriptions of 3,768 Sanskrit and Prakrit works, preserved in the Jodhpur Collection, occurring between accession No's. 10,101 and 18,237. These works are related to the first seven out of the twenty-five subjects prescribed for classification in the instructions issued by the Ministry of Education. The rest would form the contents of volume III (B)- the sixth installment in the catalogue series.
The style and pattern is the same as adopted in the previous volumes. Extracts from important manuscripts have been given at the end rendering it still more useful to the scholars.
I am thankful to Shree Gopal Narayan Bahura, M. A., Deputy Director of the Institute, who has rendered great cooperation and assistance in bringing out the volume. Shree Laxminarayan Goswami and others who did the work of preparing identity cards, filling in de tails, preparing press-copies of the works and going through the proofs etc. are also to be thanked.
Shree Hari Prasad Pareek of the Sadhana Press deserves thanks for the prompt and careful printing of this part of the catalogue.
