Geography of Ramayana- A Geographical Journey Into The Rama Era

Foreword Itihasa is sometimes dismissed as myth. Nothing can be further from the truth. The word Itihāsa translates as, "This is indeed what happened." Itihāsa is history. The expression Itihāsa may have originally been applied to Mahābhārata, but now applies to Rāmāyaṇa too. Jijith Nadumuri Ravi has earlier done remarkable work on the geography of the Ṛgveda. He now follows this up with this volume, on the geography of Rāmāyaṇa, with a subsequent companion on Mahābhārata. If Itihasa is history and not myth, it must be explored and probed, integrated into a proper time-line of Bhāratavarṣa's history, integrated into what we now know of the Sarasvati- Sindhu-Narmada Civilization.
