Book Description
Foreword:
I feel immense pleasure in introducing to the public in general and to lovers of Sanskrit in particular, the collection of anthologies entitled "MANJUL MANJUSHA" which has been edited by Shri Veda Prakash Shastri and Prof. Ramesh Kumar Pandey in which Hindi and English translations have been provided for the benefit of large number of readers.
This collection of verses contains anthologies from the Vedas, the Upanishads, the Puranas, the Smritis and literature related to Niti. The Editors have classified the entire material provided in the collection under 16 heads giving the reader wide choice for enrichment of their knowledge in different fields. The entire collection projects the art of cultivating in oneself worldly wisdom that has an art of getting along in the world. One of the characteristics of this collection is its alphabetical arrangement of the verses, although it may seem uncomfortable is view of the fact that it transgresses the chronological order of the texts. The Editors have taken special care to make the translation reader-friendly.
The authors avowed aim is to put before younger generation a series of thought which will instill in them the "Art of Living" and will teach them the "Science of Being". I am quite confident that each gem of thought will be read by the young generation with profit and pleasure for the fulfillment of the aims and objectives of life.
I take this opportunity of congratulating the proprietor of M/s. Neeta Prakashan for publishing such a useful collection for the general public specially for the younger generation. I hope they will keep their interest high in this field, which, unfortunately, has been neglected for quite some time now.
I wish the Editors and the publishers a grand success in their future endeavours of this kind.
