About the Author
Professor Hameeda Bano Nayeem teaches in the dept of English, University of Kashmir. She is human rights defender and social activist and has represented Kashmir at many international form .She has diverse academic interests including feminism and feminist theories, interfaith matters and environmental issues. She is the chairperson of Kashmir Centre for Social and development Studies and Advocacy and Research Centre. She is the founder member of Women Waging Peace of Harvard University. She has been on the forefront of human rights struggle with specific focus on women's and children's rights and Peace Initiatives.
