About the Author
R.K. Samanta who served as Director, Agricultural Extension & Communication in National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE), Hyderabad, India and Zonal Coordinator, Transfer of Technology Projects of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Bangalore, is presently the Acting Director of National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM), Hyderabad, India. By professional training Dr. Samanta is an Agricultural Extension Management and Communication specialist having degrees in B.Sc. (Ag.) Hons; M.Sc. (Ag.); Ph.D. (Agril. Extn.) and trained in India and USA at Cornell, Syracuse and the Ohio State Universities. Dr Samanta also has worked as an International Extension Consultant at Bangladesh under International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Austria.

Dr. Samanta has to his credit 17 books (authored & edited) and more than 136 research papers, professional communications and book chapters in the field of Agricultural Extension Management, Communication, Training, Organizational Renewal and Rural Development.
