Book Description

Preface
Classification is an essential aid, which guides clinical judgment. It has been developed to facilitate organization of seemingly distinct but related fractures into different clinically useful groups. Ideally, it provides a reliable language of communication guidelines for treatment, and allows reasonable progress to be drawn for a specific type of fracture. However, the "ideal" classification system that would fulfill these requirements does not exist in the modern medical science, still we cal see each and every classification of fracture can be classified under those given by Acharya Sushrut thousands of year back As a result, numerous classification systems are published for each fracture; some are more used in one geographical location than others.

This book makes no attempt to produce a comprehensive list of all classifications. Rather, it includes those practical systems which have proven helpful in everyday clinical practice to a majority of surgeons. This book aims to provide enough essential information to complete the major task of identification and analysis of fracture as per Ayurved as well as modem, which is the first step in treatment. As other systems of classification evolve over time, the likelihood that the classifications in this book will continue to provide guidance for fracture care remains high. I accept responsibility for any shortcomings in this book and corrections will be gladly made in the next edition.

Introduction
It would not be an exaggeration if we say that God cannot reach everywhere, that's why he made 'Mother' and Ayurveda '. Real education begins at the knees of the mother and Ayurveda moulds the character and teaches us the art of living that good character interdepends upon healthy society. Ayurveda ensures it through suggesting daily routine in a scientific and disciplined manner. It believes more in preservation of health rather than curing the ailments.

Ayurveda not only deals as the traditional ancient medicine but also as the way of life. Almost all types of therapies are described comprehensively in Ayurvedic ancient texts. Sushrut samhita is considered as a treasure of treatment and guiding the research in present surgical era.

The present status of modern surgery has reached the summit of progress in all its aspects, in spite of this, there are many views in the medical field where medical science is anxiously considering the Ayurvedic surgery as an alternative.

In developing world the life style of the people is fast and full of stress and strain resulting in many fatal diseases. The most common diseases are manmade; the major part is of accidental injuries. This situation has given the impetus for researching constructive and rehabilitating measures.

Now the life style of people is fast and mechanical so people have became much conscious and eager for early recovery from any disease. Considering this fact, a number of conservative and operative techniques of treatment are introduced day by day in orthopedic branch of surgery.

The practical knowledge along with the theoretical knowledge is very much essential. However, while doing practical study and going through concerned literature adds the knowledge when both are applied together. Keeping these golden words of Sushrut the following study is carried out.
