Book Description

About The Book

"By cultivating and order in your life, bhakti develops. The effort in bhakti is to be alert and aware of your character and behaviour, and develop excellence in thought, felling and action by nuturing the sattwic, creative, positive nature. Bhakti will be realized when the attempt is mode to eradicate the negativity cunning and deception from your life and your mind. If your mind and emotions can be fine- tuned, then there is no need to sit with your eyes closed in front of a statue of God. If you can make your mind and heart sensitive and connect them to the positive, uplifting, creative qualities and traits, then that is bhakti."

On the occasion of Guru Poornima in 2009, Swami Niranjanananda gave a series of satsangs from 4th to 6th July, on the theme of bhakti. In his discourses, Swamiji presented the classical definitions as well as practical sadhnas to follow this path of spiritual progress. The satsangs reach right into the heart of the aspirant and make him see the world from a new perspective, full of softness and contentment. The book is an invaluable gift for all those who have had a glimpse of bhakti, the way of channelling emotions and positive living.
