As an eight-year-old, I was always fascinated with my Dad's small but intimate library room, which I must say was a luxury of passion rather than being a privilege in a small house. So, one day, when I finally got the chance, I went inside, just to be able to sit in his chair and act like him. A short sprinter jump did manage to give the little me the extra height I needed and I was able to climb up to his chair. As I started to adjust myself while moving the stiff cushion around, I couldn't help but notice his intensely organized desk, complete with an inviting set of white sheets, waiting to be scribbled upon. At that very point of time, the eight-year-old me decided to write a line about the ongoing summer vacation. Not to forget, while writing the first line, I also rhymed the next line with it. Happy with the couplet that I had just written, I decided to write another one.
Amused with the four lines that I had scribbled onto the paper, I decided to leave the sheet as is, on the table. Having almost forgotten about the whole incident, a few days later I stumbled upon that sheet once again, on that very desk. And to my surprise, I saw that my Dad had edited the fourth line I'd written. I was the happiest kid that day because I realized that he had actually liked the first three lines. With this 3/4th of confidence up my sleeve, I went ahead and completed my first ever piece for him and, well, haven't really stopped writing since then. The writer in me was born because of my dad. Which is why, this book is dedicated to him. Infact, this book is dedicated to people who inspire because we all know it does not come easy.
