There are countless types of Dasa systems and today it is extremely difficult for us to provide rationality appertained to the basis of computation for these Dasa systems. However; the efficacy of these Dasa systems is hard to be questioned provided the Dasa is calculated correctly. Unfortunately, majority of the astrologers do not know the correct method of computation of these Dasa systems. They apply only Vimshottari Dasa System (VDS) and; as such, most of the special Dasa systems; especially Rashiyadi Dasa systems (Sign type Dasa), have remained untried. The basic reason for this is that the classical texts have not elaborated them with adequate details of computation and delineation.
