About the Author

Anuradha G., a yoga instructor for over 10 years has used her experience and knowledge to transform the lives of those who have had the good fortune of being under her tutelage. Her keen sense of observation, sensitivity and compassion has helped her delve deep into the psyche of each student and devise a regime to cater to individual needs.

She began her career as a teacher of yoga in Petit School, initiating 4-6 year olds to the benefits of yoga. She also taught yoga at Rishikul, MET and to Citi Bank employees, BKC. Through her varied experiences with schools and corporates, she realized the need for formulating workouts to suit individual needs. Inspired, she began her journey of personal training.

Introduction

Another milestone in the life of an individual is the stage when individuals have identified their goals and are striving to achieve it. It is also the marriageable age, a crucial time for young girls to seek advice for a smooth transition and journey through marriage and motherhood.

Diet is of utmost importance for both men and women. Wrong food can cause accumulation of fat on the waist and hips which, if not corrected, can lead to obesity which could be one of the causes for infertility in young girls. Usually this phase of life is mainly a time of struggle and strife for most. Everyone tends to take their health for granted and abuse their bodies by ignoring the signals it gives. Awareness is important as that will not permit us to be lax. One's daily choices will determine how your health will unfold. Yoga has an all-round effect as it works on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level.

Count the day as lost whose low descending sun sees your exercise still not done. This should be the mantra 'as we sow, we reap'.

It is a vicious cycle due to the time constraints, our health takes a back seat making it progressively difficult. This does not mean that one should concentrate only on health and ignore the other duties; instead we have to learn to balance and yoga teaches us this.
