Book Description
To ascertain the knowledge of a drug is to discover what functional changes it is capable of producing and manifesting in the healthy individual. This fundamental aspect of homoeopathy has been given due importance by the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy. Ever since its inception CCRH has undertaken Drug Proving as an important research activity and till date more than 70 drugs have been proved. Drug proving program of the Council involved proving of new drugs and reproving of drugs proved previously. Due importance was given to proving of drugs of Indian origin. The drug proving data of these drugs has been published time to time.
This is a compilation of proving symptoms of 6 drugs proved for the first time by CCRH It is possible that there might have been small provings of these drugs at individual level. but these are not published and are not known to the majority of the homoeopathic fraternity. As per the record available with the Council these drugs have been proved for the first time, by an institution on a standard protocol involving double blind placebo controlled design. However, the Council is open to receive feedback from physicians or organizations, if they have proved any of these drugs. We would be grateful if they can share their proving data with the council for the benefit of homoeopathic profession.
A potent force in building up homoeopathy has been its literature. The Council hopes that the Materia Medica of these drugs is added to the homoeopathic literature. This would be possible, only after the proving symptoms are veritted clinically and the profiles of these drugs be evolved by experience. The council is in the process of conducting the clinical verification of these drugs. However, we would like to invite homoeopathic professionals to clinically verify the proving data given in this book. They are welcome to add in their experiences with clinical application of these drugs and send the clinically verified symptoms to the Council.
