Stairway For Youth

Stairways for youth is a comprehensive look at the aspirations of the youth in present day India. Meant as motivation for the youth of today to work earnestly and honestly to build a new and better more advanced India, it also goes into the history of the past glories of India and the sacrifices made by the people to free India from the yoke of oppression. Giving examples of the young men who sacrificed their lives to free India it is hoped to inspire the youth of today to aspire to greater things. Containing anecdotes and examples of what has caused India to fall behind the developed world it exhorts the youth of today to approach life with an open and honest mind and to give regard to the achievements and sacrifices made by our fore-father.

Vijay Shankar Pandey, son of late Pt. Shobh Nath Pandey and late Rajeshwari Devi, was born in Ramjipur, Parshottampur, Mirzapur (U.P.) on the Ist of July 1944. After being awarded a Diploma for Civil Engineering he retired as an Assistant Engineer from the Irrigation Department, U.P. He presently resides at "Gunjan Kutia", Narayani Vihar Colony, Chitaipur, Sunderpur, Varanasi-221005. Over the years he has the following publications to his credit: - Rojgar story book in Hindi, Kaise Kahe story book in Hindi, Gaon Ka Bat story book in Bhojpuri, Gulel story book in Bhojpuri, Viplav novel in Bhojpuri, Desh Khatir novel in Bhojpuri, Awaj Arawali ki Khand Kabya in Hindi, Kurubans Kabita wali Mahakabya in Bhojpuri, Yogeshwar Leela Mahakabya in Bhojpuri and the present book Stairways for Youth.
