About the Author
Sumeet Chugh at the young age of 27 years has several distinctions to his credit. He is a Chartered Accountant by profession and is employed as a top executive with a finance company. He started learning astrology at the young age of 18 years and gained the true knowledge of Hindu or Vedic astrology under the able guidance of his guru Shri Lachhman Das Madan, editor of the astrological journal- 'The Babaji'. He has regularly contributed articles to various astrological journals in India.

Today he has over ten astrological books to his credit. (All published by M/s Sagar Publications).

Preface
At the onset I would like to thank my guru Shri Lachaman Das Madan, the editor of the journal on astrology 'The Babaji', without whose blessings and teachings this book would not have seen its present shape.

One of the most difficult tasks an astrologer faces is the timing of events. For this Hindu or Vedic astrologers mostly use Vimshottari dasa and Varshphal. Varshphal has been discussed by me in a separate book.

The readers of this book, I presume, are acquainted with the use of Vimshottari dasa. But besides Vimshottari dasa many other dasa systems as propounded by Sage Parasara are in vogue. The most popular of these is Yogini Dasa, and then there is Kalachakra dasa. The method of calculating Kalachakra dasa is quiet laborious but I hope after going through this book it will seem quite simple to the readers. Sage Parasara seems to have given it a special status. Timing of events and predictive astrology will seem quite simple with its use.

There are 9 conditional dasa systems too which are in use. They have been discussed in my book 'Important Conditional Dasas of Sage Parasara' which is due for release soon.

I have given various tables and examples which will help in easy grasping of the two Dasa systems. I recommend their use, because applying all the three dasa systems (including Vimshottari) will ensure almost hundred percent correct predictions.

I would like to thank Mr. Narender Sagar for inviting me to write this book. I would also like to thank Mr. Sanjeev Kapahi, Mr. Kashyap and Mr. Dheeraj Popli who helped me during the various stages of this book.

The readers are also most welcome to give their valuable suggestions for future prints of the book. If any reader has any difficulty in understanding any portion of the subject matter of the book they can write to me and a reply will be dispatched to them within 4 to 6 weeks of receipt of their letter.
