Book Description

About the Book

These are talks given by G. Aditya in the course of discussions, discourses and answering questions. They are addressed mostly to those doing sadhana around him and thus they deal with fundamental questions questions regarding the spiritual journey – what is the object of sadhana? Why does it need total commitment? What attitudes are thereby required? Why is the company of a Teacher so fundamental? What does the process of sadhana entail? Which obstacles and pitfalls await one who is walking this path? They have been recorded live and transcribed by the sadhaks. A minimal amount of editing has been done to ensure readability.

About the Author

G. Aditya has been resident in Uttarkashi district, Garwhal, Himalaya since 1985, involved in Sadhana. Arya vihar Ashram was thereafter established in 1994 as a spiritual community where sadhaks could stay around him and wholly commit to the long and integrated process of sadhana under his guidance, the objective being the realization of the divine and the complete transformation.

Preface

In Editing this book we have used capitals for Great souls, Masters and Teachers while referring to them. However this usage has been limited to places where we felt the emphasis of the text required it, otherwise in other places these capitals have been left as small letters for easy reading. Hence the reader may find capitals used in one place and just the lower case in another for the same person.

We have transliterated only certain Sanskrit words in the text, those that have almost become part of the English language due to familiarity and extended use, and also the names of people we have left without transliterating.

The system of transliteration followed is not the international one, but a simplified version which is closer to the actual pronunciation of the word.

We hope this book will inspire and help sadhks along their spiritual journey.
