Book Description
Khen Rinpoche was born on Guru Rinpoche's day, in 1967, which appeared some auspicious signs along with his birth. He became a monk at the age of 13, and started to study and practice Buddhism. Under the guidance of the great master Khenchen Karma Tseteng Rinpoche, His Eminence Tai Situ Rinpoche, and Wish-fulfilling Jewel Dharma King Jigme Phuntsog, as well as followed more than twenty teachers, he diligently studied Sutra, Tantra and Shastra for many years, therefore is known as a learned scholar and an authentic master. Till now, he has published several works in different languages to expound Dharma.
Rinpoche had finished the traditional 3 years and 3 months retreat in his youth, and continues to take retreats in sacred places during his free time. He is fond of studying Theravada Buddhism, Chinese Buddhism and other schools' teachings, especially hope to communicate, integrate, and unite the teachings of three main sects in Buddhism.
Rinpoche has been teaching and spreading Dharma in many places of the world, he is now the head of Palriling Dharma Association and related Dharma Centers worldwide, and the present Dean of Sherab Ling Shedra, India. Through tirelessly taught for almost 20 years, he has trained many competent monks and lay practitioners who are able to spread Dharma.
Meanwhile, Rinpoche also established the Compassion-Wisdom School in Tibet to help the local people to learn and study, which decreased illiterate rate significantly and changed many people's lives. He promotes and carries out charitable activities enduringly, uses Dharma teachings to educate and purify human minds, he is indeed a good model to benefit the sentient beings.
