Preface
This book "DICTIONARY OF EDUCATION" has been prepared by compiling and editing comprehensive and critical exposition of different facets of education such as; educational philosophy. psychology, sociology, curriculum, evaluation. teaching, management, supervision, administration, research and so on. Attempts have been made to describe the words in details as much as possible. However, readers may find some words described briefly and some in detailed form. In this book we have not contributed much original materials. We rather have aimed at combining a large number of subjects in a sequence. Thus we owe much of the credit for this book to the references cited. We expect valuable suggestions and constructive criticisms from the experts and readers for the improvement of this dictionary in future.

We thank Mr. Ganesh M. Shrestha and Mrs. Rita Shrestha of Freehand Computers for word-processing and designing of the book.

Finally, we express our sincere thanks to Mr. Govinda Shrestha and Mr. Ananda P. Nepal of Ratna Pustak Bhandar for the publication of this book.
