The Essence of Motherhood - a philosophical view of the spirit of motherhood - reflects the Indian Vedic tradition. This book is an inspiration not only for mothers but for every people. The reader can embark on such a journey through this lively memoir. The memoir of motherhood has been preserved in 11 chapters. After reading this book, the reader will get to see a different perspective of life. Where truth prevails. The foundation and treasure of the world are the children who will represent their country as an adult in the future, so it is necessary to impart the knowledge of truth and secularism to our generation in a scientific manner. Before teaching anything to the child, parents must imbibe those qualities in themselves.

Because the child is part of the parent. The Essence of Motherhood, a deeply moving memoir with its share of authentic and vivid facts, is a reminder that motherhood is indeed a responsibility upon which the whole world depends.

Foreword
I have the pleasure of reading the manuscript 'Essence of Motherhood', a very touching and an extremely thought-provoking monologue written by Smt. Vatsala Shukla, an erudite daughter of Prof. Vijay Shankar Shukla and Dr. Usha Shukla.

All the three great Ayurveda pioneers, Atreya, Susruta and Vagbhata mention that a child inherits these six essential gunadharmas-from the mother, father, ojas, atma and one's own distinctive gunalaksana-to become its fulfilling destiny. The divining science jyotisasastra defines the mother as the ksetra, the abode for life to take its first inception. Smt. Vatsala's writing portrays most of these nuggets of knowledge arising out of her journey, experience and exploration into the motherhood which in itself is a huge responsibility and a blissful attainment.

She is very kind to mention about me and the Gurupaduka mandala puja I conducted praying for bliss and prosperity for this wonderful couple: Vatsala and her loving husband Sriman Prashant Tripathi (hence the golden lotus acquired the scintillating fragrance of champaka flower!). Bhagavati, the very embodiment of Guru has blessed this couple with a boon of a girl child, and they have aptly named her as Varalika.
