Foreword Ayurveda is the life science, which is an outcomes of continuous efforts of experiences and wisdom of our Acharya. For the development of any science, continuous efforts and assimilation of existing knowledge is essential.

Preface Forensic Medicine & Medical Jurisprudence is the branch of medical science, which has studied as a Vyavahar Ayurveda Evam Vidhi Vaidyak in BAMS Course. All though the Forensic Medicine & Medical Jurisprudenceis a new for Ayurveda, some content of this subject like Punishment, Qualities of Vaidya, Training of Doctors (Yogabhyas), Permission of King before starting the practice of Ayurveda & direction of dead body for educational & legal purpose etc has been described in Ayurveda in brief.

In this book there are two part, one is Vyavahar Ayurveda and second is Vidhi Vaidyak. The Vyavahar Ayurveda highlighted the application of medical knowledge for ad-ministration of law. The Vyavahar Ayurveda deals Identification of Persons, Medico-Legal Procedure in Court, Medico-Legal Aspect of Death, Medico-Legal Autopsy, Medico-Legal Aspect of Ashyxial Death, Medico-Legal Aspect of Sexual Offence, Medico-Legal Aspect of Mechanical, Thermal, Electrical & Firearm Injury. It also deals with the Medico-Legal Aspect of Abortion, Pregnancy, Delivery, Sterility and Impotance. Medico-Legal Aspect of Forensic Psychiatry is also described in this section.

The term Vidhi Vaidyak deals with application of legal knowledge in the practice of Ayurveda. In this section CCIM Act, Consumer Protection Act, Medicolegal Negligency, Medical Ethics, Medical Etiquete, Conduct, Misconduct, Rights and Duties of Vaidya (Doc-tor) has been included.
