Among the living religions of the world, Hinduism (also known as Hindu Dharma) is one of the oldest continuous spiritual traditions. It has shaped the cultures and civilizations of India and Southeast Asia from the prehistoric era to the present times in the most profound manner.

This book presents its core essentials and their implications for the current times and differentiates it from other religious traditions. It focuses more on its timeless aspects independent of the ebb and flow of history. In addition, it emphasizes Dharma's implications for a life centred on a deep and universal spiritual quest.

Dr. Vinod K. Mishra originally hails from Chainpur, a village of the Mithila region in the state of Bihar, India. After finishing his MSc (IIT, Kanpur), he obtained a PhD from Stony Brook University, the USA with a specialisation in Theoretical Nuclear Physics. His work in the fields of Physics, Networking Science and Quantum Information has been published in various research journals. In addition, he has also authored two books entitled- "An Introduction to Quantum Communication" and "Software-Defined Networks". Currently, he is working as a Scientist in a Federal Research Institute in the United States. The current work is an outcome of his deep interest in the scientific traditions of ancient India as given in the Classical Sanskrit Treatises.
